Approved beneficial reuse materials arrive at the UCS, LLC facility via tank trucks, hydro-vac trucks, dump trucks or in vacuum boxes. All shipments arrive with manifests and certifications from the customer / generator and trucking company, verifying the beneficial reuse material as non-hazardous. Prior to unloading any material, UCS, LLC will conduct analytical tests to verify that the incoming material on location is non-hazardous. The materials are tested at the facility for pH, chlorides, conductivity, and temperature. We can accommodate all sorts of trucks. Open tops, role-offs, dump trucks & VAC trucks of all sizes. All incoming loads of beneficial reuse material must be approved by UCS before arriving at the facility to unload.
Processing
All material arriving at the site will either be in a semi-liquid or dry-solid form.
In order to allow the emplacement of the beneficial reuse material into the salt cavern, the materials must be converted into a liquid slurry form.
Once the slurry material has been confirmed as non-hazardous by UCS, LLC , the material will be emplaced into the open void space of the salt cavern.
Enhanced Stratigraphic Stabilization
Backfill Supported Cavern
Enhance or stabilize the overlying layers located above the salt cavern.
This will help prevent any subsidence (sink holes) from occurring at the facility.
